Rotoscoping - Mantis vs Tiger
This project wasn't hard in terms of difficulty, but it was very time consuming. I was working day and night, but in the middle of the process I ran out of space on my computer and needed to delete some files. Unfortunately, I deleted an important system file for Photoshop in the purge and was unable to complete the project without the program. I included what I have anyway though. |

3D Modeling and Printing - Penguin
This was a fun project, though the time restraints and limited features of the Tinkercad program did makes things a bit difficult. I have some experience with 3D modeling programs, so using Tinkercad was a bit frustrating at first. I wasn't able to do all the things I am used to doing in other programs. However, once I overcame the learning curve it was a fun program to play with. I would advise students to practice with a couple different objects before they settle on their final one.

Group Project - Cultural Idioms
This project demanded a lot of research and communication, but it wasn't too difficult given that we established our roles and vision for the project before working individually on our own sections. Everyone knew what their responsibilities were and any confusion was quickly diffused via email. Overall, it was an interesting exercise which showed me how I might conduct and grade group exercises of my own.

Podcast - Anish Kapoor

This project was initially very difficult for me as I was not comfortable recording my voice. I did several takes and eventually settled on the one that made me cringe the least. It was also difficult knowing when to end a report on an artist who is still producing art. I tried to leave it a bit open ended for that reason. Creating the video was much more enjoyable for me as it took the focus away from my voice and put it on the visuals. |
